Future of Futures was a public art installation and initiative that asked people to dream about our shared futures through curiosity, play, and planning. It invited a person to sit down and work alongside St. Paul’s youngest forest at an artistically designed table. The sculptural table reimagined the traditional boardroom into an octagon shape promoting egalitarian power dynamics. This temporary outdoor office environment provided public work space, inclusive community, and productive conversation. A person could talk to the trees and dream about what downtown and society can be as they evolve to fit the post-pandemic world.
