TreeTime

Treetime, installed at the Salzburg Global Seminar asked participants to contemplate their relationship to the environment, each other, and the future. Multiple trees across the campus featured QR invitations to a text conversation that prompts a moment of reflection and interpretation. As they explore the forest, either on foot or using instructions included in their program materials, fellows will find opportunities to share insights, passions, and dreams; the project challenges the people it encounters to actively engage in the shaping of our shared future. It is an invitation to slow down and talk with a tree.

Try talking with a tree.

The stories gathered are being used as a qualitative dataset to guide larger conversations about the challenges we’re facing, and shape plans for growing a future we can look forward to.
